HOW IT WORKS:
Personal appearances at charity/corporate events usually fit under one of the following categories:
- Clinic
- Before tee off for an event I love to get the group together for a power clinic on the range. I’ll talk about what I use to get power, and how some Long Drive swing thoughts can help on the golf course. Clinics are especially great for women’s member/guest events to give them some fun tips on the range before they have too much ‘fun’ at their dinner party!
- Long Drive Contest
- During a charity event, I will host a hole where the players can pay to try to outdrive me. This is a great way to raise some extra funds for a charity event, and it’s always fun to have the guys trying to “Swing Like a Girl!”
- Usually we will get a prize so if anyone out hits me they get put into a raffle pool for a nice staycation. Makes it a win-win for the players and the fundraiser.

- Closest to the Pin Contest
- Same as the long drive contest as it’s a great way to make some extra money on the course for a fundraiser, but instead of a par 5 I will stand on a par 3 and have a closest to the pin contest with the players. Always a great time, and gives that “little extra” to your event.
- Entertainment
- Sometimes events aren’t fundraisers, but rather corporate events for employee and consumer appreciation, and for these type of events I love to just be some fun entertainment on a hole. I’ll hit shots, let the players hit my long drive equipment, have some music playing and sometimes even bring a keg to just make it a fun tee box during your event.
TESTIMONIALS:
“With Alex’s help, Rebuilding Together Montgomery County was able to raise over $50,000 during our 2017 annual golf classic! Alex held a long drive competition against our players, and it was a major success. Everyone was entertained and enjoyed learning lessons from Alex on how to improve their golf swing. She was extremely professional, courteous, and engaging with all. Having Alex participate in our golf tournament provided our players with a unique experience that set our event apart from other charity golf tournaments. We hope to work with Alex again next year, and encourage anyone that is looking to add a little something extra for their tournament to hire Alex! Thank you Alex helping us raise additional funds to support low-income homeowners in Montgomery County!”

“A community can be defined as – A feeling of fellowship with others as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests and goals. Alex (“Philly Fresh” as we call her) is an exemplary member of the Surf & Turf Golf Community. Between her contagious smile and fun-loving attitude for life, her ability to impact others and her overall respect for the game of golf and the camaraderie that comes with it, she is what every event needs in order to improve the experience for those involved.
Alex has played a key role in our events, social media and general fundraising efforts by being a partner in our “Course To Coast for a Cause” initiative. She even continues to leave an impact on some of our captains by supporting them daily on her own as well, as she has for Surf & Turf family member- Peyton Palermo and her fund- Peytons Hope.
We cant thank Alex enough for all she has done.”
